Polyplas Dominicana Offices - 1969

1966

Polyplas Dominicana begins its operations and is established as a second company inside industria petroquímica, changing the world of plastic packaging and offering a wide portfolio of plastic products to improve the access to edible goods.

1960's

1978

Termopac Industrial is created. it is the last company created by don Manolo, introducing disposable goods in the Dominican Republic.

1983

Termopac becomes a pioneer by introducing foam packaging, creating new trends in the market and laying the ground for the development of home delivery services in the country.

1980s

Policarbonate Botlles

1992

Polyplas revolutionizes the use of drinking water by introducing plastic water jugs, replacing the ones made of glass and making this staple product cheaper and safer.

1995

Don Manolo signs and agreement of succession for the five companies at industrias petroquímica with his two oldest sons. manuel diez cabral stays in charge of the ones specialized in packaging, polyplas, termopac, moldeo and comex — the two latest will then be merged with polyplas and termopac.

Manuel, thinking ahead, establishes the key strategy to expand polyplas and termopac: in three key words, consolidation, modernization and internalization

1996

A strategic alliance is signed with Reid Plastics, the leading plastics company in the Caribbean and the United States, to manufacture and sell bottles and water jugs made of polycarbonate in the Caribbean.

Termopac introduces Clear Trays (Transparent Containers) for the first time in the Dominican Republic.

1990s

Purchase of the first Nissei (PET bottle blower)

1997

Polyplas again leads the way by introducing pet containers, which allows the bottling of all kinds of beverages in materials that are much more effective, greener and healthier than the traditional containers made of glass and pvc.

Exportations keep growing exponentially as a strategic expansion of the market, by implementing a sagaz strategy in regional sales.

Polyplas internacional settles in puerto rico, and the distribution of polyplas dominicana products quickly grows in said island.

1999

Polyplas becomes a leader in innovation, due to its constant introduction of new products: medicine bottles and water jug caps.

Diesco is created as a group and corporative headquarter for the three existing companies: Polyplas Dominicana, Termopac Industrial and Polyplas Internacional, merging into one cohesive company.

2001

Polyplas becomes a pioneer in the fabrication of Preformas Plásticas in the Dominican Republic.

Termopac is awarded by Adoexpo for being the “Industrial Exporter of the Year”.

2003

Due to the success of the work in Puerto Rico, the company acquires PAC TECH INTERNATIONAL and a facility for the fabrication and sale of packaging products is created in Puerto Rico.

2000s

Termopac Industrial Award as "Exporting Industry of the Year"

2007

An alliance is made with BARNA MANAGEMENT SCHOOL, the first business school in the Caribbean, with Manuel Diez Cabral as its founder and member of its Regent Council.

Diesco is awarded as the “Great Exporter of the Dominican Republic”.

ACQUISITION OF PAC TECH INTERNATIONAL, INC

2012

Pac Tech acquires Cristalia Premium Water, a leading local brand in Puerto Rico.

An Advisory Council — BOARD — is created, made up of a group of world-class business leaders.

2017

Diesco signs a financial agreement with Goldman Sachs, the first investment of this significance made by an international bank to a Dominican company.

The Board (Advisory Council) is awarded by international magazines Private Company Director and Family Business Magazine as “Private Directive Council of the Year 2017” in the category “Best Advisory Council”.

Pac Tech expands to new facilities of around 200,000 square meters, and earns a recognition as “Supplier of the Year” by Walmart in Puerto Rico.

2019

Pac Tech becomes the #1 Bottler of Water in Puerto Rico.

Entry into the Colombian market through the acquisition of Ready to Drink (RTD), a company specialized in the production and marketing of non-alcoholic beverages
